We are pleased to announce the re-opening of our Chicago studio in the Fine Arts Building, after a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are now actively filling our teaching schedules with both in-person and online lessons, and have planned a full program of two concert series- Music with a View℠ and Blue Skies Concerts℠, plus two weekly Livestream Shows: Steinway Sundays with Susan and Svetlana℠ and Merdinger's Musings℠, plus a regular schedule of Performance classes, Master Classes and Student Recitals and Competitions.
Our studio is now equipped with a full music library of scores and texts, comfortable seating, audio-video recording equipment as needed, and most importantly, two Steinway Pianos ( Models M and A3) and a Vogel-Schimmel Piano. We also proudly boast one of the prettiest views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Skyline you can imagine!
We are offering Private and Group Instruction in Piano, Violin, Viola and Voice. (Group lessons will resume later in the year pending resolution of the Pandemic).
Our COVID-19 safety protocols include: Two free-standing Air Purifiers and Cleaners: one Honeywell True HEPA Air Cleaner and one Germ Guardian Ultra-violet Light and Ionic Air Purifier; disinfectant cleansing of the keyboards before and after each student's lesson; hand sanitizer always available. The Fine Arts Building restrooms are newly renovated and kept immaculately clean throughout the day. Masks are required for entry and exit into the building- and generally expected to be worn during your lessons unless adequate social distancing is maintained between student and teacher. All students and visitors are expected to be screened prior to entry with our touchless forehead thermometer.
Just one block from Symphony Center and The Art Institute, and part of the building which house the historic Studebaker Theater, we are conveniently located for you to enjoy all of the best cultural institutions that Chicago has to offer, plus numerous fine and casual dining establishments and parking facilities conveniently located and easily accessible.
